Respeto y Sabiduría
Cada vez tiene mayor auge en nuestra cultura occidental, los cuerpos esculturales, las medidas que para nosotros tienen una representación mental de “perfectas”, se hace mayor eco y se rinde tributo a la belleza de las personas, en especial a postergar la belleza de la “juventud”, estos son imaginarios que construimos en nuestro “yo”, ese yo, que se erige a partir de la interacción cara a cara y de la estructura social, que trae consigo una competencia, un miedo a la soledad, un reconocimiento social un verme a través del Otro. Aunque es importante el deporte, los cuerpos tonificados y una alimentación saludable, se deben utilizar como un sinónimo del deber “hacer y ser” de una persona para tener una vida saludable y una vejez con calidad, términos que no los debemos convertir en un cliché social, o buscar estereotipos a toda costa e incluso poniendo la vida en riesgo a través de cirugías, fármacos, infiltraciones, todo esto por temor a algo llamado “vejez”, que su significado en latín vetus, puede traducirse como “viejo”, tenemos el esquema mental de que viejo es algo “arrumado”, “inservible”, “obsoleto”, expresiones peyorativas que “cosifican” al ser humano, aprendimos a ver desde el temor las canas, las arrugas, las ojeras, la pérdida del tono muscular, en fin, lo que consigo traen los años, pero no tenemos en cuenta que los años traen consigo experiencia, principio de realidad, calma, generosidad, serenidad del alma, y lo más anhelado, consciencia, siendo esta la capacidad para percibir su realidad y reconocerse en ella, pero en este mundo globalizado, capitalista donde se vive más en la virtualidad que en la realidad, un mundo donde no se capitaliza la experiencia, ni la sabiduría, ni interesa el discernimiento, sino que buscamos anular todo aquello que inconscientemente no queremos ver pero que es una realidad innegable a todo ser humano y es envejecer pero debemos aprender a envejecer dignamente y darle un lugar de amor, respeto y consideración a esta población.
