Today is June 15, we are already halfway through the month and incredible as it sounds almost half of the year. We hope in 123pormi that this month there started with the right foot for all and continue in the same way. This month in particular is very important for many people around the world since it is the «Pride month» or «The month of pride». Probably they have seen where they live large floats, parades, marathons, concerts and many more events where the colors of the rainbow stand out or have people walking with colored flags on the street. As the month of pride consists of the celebration of the LGTBQIA community, this celebration wants to put a halt to discrimination and violence against all people whose sexual identity is different from heterosexuality, this month promotes dignity, equality of rights and raises visibility in front of everybody the sexual diversity, breaking the social stigmas that revolve around the LGTBQIA community.

International blood donors day
Today June 14 is the international day of blood donors, this event is celebrated by the UN and the World Health Organization, this day is to promote and express the need for healthy blood, we could say that blood is one of the most precious resources, it is used both in planned procedures and in urgent health interventions, blood donations help from patients suffering conditions that directly affect life, as patients who need it to perform routine surgical procedures. In summary, an efficient blood service provides all human beings with a necessary component for the health system to function correctly. We must bear in mind that the blood donation systems we must help are systems coordinated by governments, voluntary and unpaid, so we make sure that our blood is not sold and is saving lives.
Albinism international day
As many will know, the UN is responsible for the promotion and protection of human rights, civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. Many of the inhabitants of this planet we call earth, are interested in evolving, reaching a point where we all accept that we are a diverse planet, where being different is the best quality that someone could ask for. The problem is that we have not yet reached the point where we all treat each other with respect, on the contrary, we have created an increasingly intolerant world where discrimination and segregation become part of the daily lives of many people. Bullying and how it affects our children
We could say that when we were children, we all had attitudes at times that we would not be proud of at the moment. Sometimes these attitudes were addressed to other people, could be words or looks, but at some point in our lives we could hurt someone physically or emotionally, most likely we did not immediately recognize what was wrong, or that our words could affect another person. Well nowadays attitudes like these are known under the name of «Bullying», this word means intimidation or harassment. Most likely you will recognize it, if ever news during the last 5 years you have seen that the suicide rate in children has increased. In the United States, 1 out of every 100 students manages to commit suicide, but approximately 7% of students across the country try to do so. In Spain, 1.6 out of every 100 children commit suicide due to bullying, but 5.7 out of 100 think about doing so. Sigue leyendo «Bullying and how it affects our children»
¿Can machines think?
Let’s start by taking a film as a reference: The enigma code, this is a movie based on the life of Alan Turing, a mathematician who is hired by the United States to solve the enigma code, a code used by the Germans to send secret messages during the first World War. The enigma code in the film represents a challenge to this object that created a code impossible to decipher by humans, Turing initially discovers the way or the principle that the mathematicians in charge of discovering the enigma code needed to find the hidden messages among the Germans. But what leads me to think is that a set of wires and cables can think, is when you enter the letters that define in code in this machine that makes up a column and begins to process to such an extent that this device deciphers the code, and It needs to process multiple algorithms that a human could not analyze in such a short time. The machine manages to facilitate a response that they would have delayed in discovering much longer. Sigue leyendo «¿Can machines think?»
Assertive communication with our children
It has happened to you that when they were young they made a mistake or said something they did not have to, but instead of being able to explain what is going on in your head at the moment, did your parents chastise you to the point where they would not let you talk? Well, I tell you that sometimes I pass. What you as an adult think is that children are spoiled, that you have to educate them then they will act in an undue way at some point in their life. But what you do not know is that so much development by a small child is missing, we all have opinions, sometimes if things are done for a reason. When I tried to explain my point of view the phrase «I am right and you do not» came to light. Sigue leyendo «Assertive communication with our children»
