In Elemental we are told a fantastic story set in a world where anthropomorphic beings belonging to the 4 elements of nature, manage to live with their differences in a great metropolis called Ciudad Elementos, where its two main characters at first glance and from the conceptions we have and have been taught are complete opposites: Water and fire.

The story begins when we are introduced to Cinder and Bernie Lumen, a couple of immigrant husbands from the distant Tierras de Fuego, who will start a new life from scratch in the Fire Town district, preserving all the traditions of their town and raising their little daughter, Ember.

On the verge of becoming a young adult, Ember will be in a particular dichotomy at this point in life, questioning her dreams or moving forward with the family business that her father wants to give her. In that search to keep the flame of her family and this store alive, she encounters a large number of setbacks where she will meet Wade, a citizen inspector who will qualify said establishment. However, their encounter as an unequal couple will find love from their differences, since Wade, being a being of water loaded with sensitivities, will not be liked by Bernie Lumen, who disapproves of any being belonging to another element other than fire.

Both characters have very particular personalities that complement each other, showing once again that opposites are not bad, but on the contrary, they are what we needed to be even more complete. Here, the perspectives of the new generations and the children of immigrants are also evident, who must show the old age of their parents, within a mixture of preserving the traditions of their places of origin and learning about the cultural plurality of this new environment. Quite a feat of survival in the face of prejudice and discrimination, in a story that dialogues with the change of times and the sociocultural transformations typical of such epicenters.

It is a film that we recommend to watch with your children and family as it provides a lesson for all generations.

En Elementos se nos cuenta una historia fantástica ambientada en un mundo donde seres antropomórficos pertenecientes a los 4 elementos de la naturaleza, logran convivir con sus diferencias en una gran metrópolis llamada Ciudad Elementos, donde sus dos personajes principales a simple vista y desde las concepciones que tenemos y se nos han enseñado son completos opuestos: Agua y fuego

La historia comienza cuando nos presentan a Cinder y Bernie Lumen, una pareja de esposos inmigrantes provenientes de las lejanas Tierras de Fuego, quienes desde cero empezarán una nueva vida en el distrito de Fire Town, conservando todas las tradiciones de su pueblo y criando a su pequeña hija, Ember. 

Estando a punto de convertirse en adulta joven, Ember estará en una particular dicotomía de este momento de la vida, al cuestionarse sobre sus sueños o seguir adelante con el negocio familiar que su padre le quiere ceder. En esa búsqueda por mantener la llama viva de su familia y de esta tienda, se encuentra con una gran cantidad de tropiezos donde conocerá a Wade, un inspector ciudadano que calificará dicho establecimiento. Sin embargo, su encuentro como una pareja dispareja hallará el amor desde sus diferencias, ya que Wade siendo un ser de agua cargado de sensibilidades, no será del agrado del Bernie Lumen quien desaprueba todo ser perteneciente a otro elemento que no sea el fuego.

Ambos personajes cuentan con personalidades muy particulares que se complementan la una a la otra, mostrando de nuevo que los opuestos no son malos, sino por el contrario son eso que nos faltaba para ser aun mas completos Aquí también son evidentes las perspectivas de las nuevas generaciones y los hijos de inmigrantes, quienes deben evidenciar la vejez de sus padres, dentro de una mezcla por conservar las tradiciones de sus lugares de origen y aprender sobre la pluralidad cultural de ese nuevo entorno. Toda una hazaña de supervivencia frente a los prejuicios y la discrimación, en una historia que dialoga con el cambio de los tiempos y las transformaciones socioculturales propias de tales epicentros.

Es una película que recomendamos para ver con sus hijos y familia ya que brinda una enseñanza para todas las generaciones.
