GUNPOWDER, A CONSEQUENCE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE
RECIPIENTS:
Persons from 6 years to 18 years.
GROUP SIZE:
30 -35 participants.
MATERIALS:
Cardstock, pencil, colors, eraser, clear or masking tape.
OBJECTIVES:
- Generate responsibility for personal care.
- Recognize risks to life.
- Respect the turns of the word and deal with discrepancies in the group.
METHODOLOGY:
A tree of life will be built with the boys and girls, it will be explained to them that they will give life to the tree through their commitment, each boy and girl will be given a leaf and when they put the leaf on the tree they will repeat the following words :
«I am ready,
I am important,
I love me,
I take care of myself,
I’m smart,
So I’m not looking
unnecessary risks
For life».
The boys and girls will be told what gunpowder is and the risk that it brings to each one’s life, they will be told that whoever wants to commit to their life and bear fruit in their existence can stop and seal said commitment with a fruit, but by putting the fruit on the tree that is giving it life, he agrees not to use gunpowder at Christmas and to talk about it with his parents and family.
