When I was little I used to be a little hyperactive girl, I liked to create choreographies to songs like «Todos me miran» by Gloria Trevi, I used to make puppet shows for my public of stuffed animals, sometimes I used to invent coplas with my aunt, if they had Little known could say that it looked like a cricket, jumping from one side to the other with infinite energy. The person who used to encourage me to enter the world of reading, bought me new books, but I did not encourage me to read more books than they put me in school. I remember I was on vacation, my parents agreed that it was time for me to start reading, at that point they were probably already so tired of repeating to me how important reading was that they gave me an ultimatum where I could choose any book I wanted, at this point I was about 13 years old and I took a computer and I started to research books for young people that caught my attention, I came across a Spanish author who calls himself «Blue jeans», that same afternoon I chose a book of him and I tell you that my relationship with books changed, captivated me so much that I finished the book in 2 days, a big book of more than 300 pages, I could not believe it.
I’m going to tell you that since I’ve probably read all the books of «Blue Jeans», he became my favorite author, because he taught me to love reading, because I realized that reading can be an escape from reality, It can be a way of knowing something that you have never known, it is a way to transform the world around you, I discovered that there is no better way to know the world than through books. I am constantly captivated by the mysteries of Agatha Christie, where I want to be the one to discover the mystery before Poirot or Miss Marple, other times I want to get into the mind of Rainbow Rowell through her books to see what inspires her to create such characters original or I would like to know what happened with Candace Bushnell when I created a book where I create one of the most iconic characters in the world of fashion. Reading is this form of expression where everything is possible, where William Shakespeare decided that the most recognized romance in literature is the one who dies, not the one who lives happily ever after; where Homer wanted epic stories to reach all mankind, or where Aristophanes in 392 BC wrote «The Assembly of Women» to show that men are not the only ones with enough determination to run a country.
