Bii boarded the pirate ship with his family. They wanted to get out of the poverty and war that afflicted them in their town. Those who had set foot on that ship were clear that staying was a risk, and leaving on the ship was equally risky, but they kept hope. to reach lands that would offer them a different opportunity for life. Bii kept being afraid for his family, but he had no other way out, he had to go out with them or else he would never see them again. They carried measured rations of bread, dried meat and water for eight days. If the trip went well as expected, they would arrive at their destination in five days. Bii was accompanied by his wife and two minor children, during the sea tour they were in the rooms, they could not be hidden so as not to attract the attention of other people who were sailing there, but they were not five-star rooms, rather, a star was a luxury, they were ships similar to those used for slaves in the 18th century as if time and space had stopped, one of those stories that when read leave the “hair standing on end.”
The tired children asked their parents if they were going to arrive, Bii looked at his wife, both with sad and anguished faces told them that they were almost there, they had to be patient if they wanted to arrive in a land of freedom. The mother sang to them very softly because it was a room they had to share with ten other people. Some went alone, others with their families, everyone looked exhausted and distressed, they carried minimal rations to survive, soft murmurs could be heard, some also encouraging their children, giving them hope for life, saying that they would finally be able to study, play in freedom and to be calm, that they would not wake up again with the sound of bullets or bombs, everyone scared, but at the same time happy, they had already made the decision, they were halfway there and that was a decision that not everyone could tell, they already felt that they had gained another step in life. When everyone was sleeping at three in the morning they heard a strange noise outside, they all stayed silent, they only spoke to a young man who was with them, who understood the language, he translated for them, «put down your weapons, raise your hands, we are the Marine Corps Force…They had reached their destination.
